The needlepunch production technology consists of PP resin getting extruded into fibers; those fibers get carded and form fibrous webs which are then bonded together mechanically as the fibers get entangled through fine needles repeatedly penetrating through them producing needle punched fabrics. Needle-punched nonwovens are felt-like and are very flexible making them suited for applications in filtration and drainage; they are utilized in the geotextiles industry especially in construction of roads and railways. Needle-punched nonwovens are commonly used for its application in cushioning and reinforcement.
