Needlepunch / Felt Nonwoven
The needlepunch production technology consists of PP resin getting extruded into fibers; those fibers get carded and form fibrous webs which are then bonded together mechanically as the fibers entangle through fine needles repeatedly penetrating through them producing needle punched fabrics. Needle-punched nonwovens are felt-like and are very flexible making them suited for applications in filtration and drainage; they are utilized in the geotextiles industry especially in civil construction of roads and railways. Needle-punched nonwovens are commonly used for its application in cushioning and reinforcement.
